Thank you for your email to the U.S. Department of Education. It has been forwarded to our office for reply since we handle accreditation matters.

The Transnational Association of Christian Colleges and Schools (TRACS) is recognized by the Secretary as a reliable authority concerning the quality of education or training offered by its accredited postsecondary institutions.

You can obtain additional information on TRACS and the accrediting agency recognition process by visiting our website at I hope you find this information helpful. If you would like further information, feel free to contact me.

Greetings, U. S. Department of Education.

I have a rather pressing question and I hope that your offices might be able to assist me with my inquiry. I am looking for information on accredidation and standing of the "TRACS" organization, the full title of which I provided in this message's subject line.

This is, I suspect, an unaccredited diploma mill which is a financial swingle however it is claimed that this "organization" -- if it actually exists -- has:

...Transnational Association of Christian Colleges and Schools (TRACS), an agency which itself is recognized and approved by the U.S. Department of Education.

Is there a location on your web site which may be used to verify whether this "TRACS" is in fact "recognized" and "approved" by your office? If so, what does being "approved" and "recognized" by your office mean?

Thank you very much for your assistance.

Fredric L. Rice
