Although the ACLU remains a strictly non-partisan organization, ballot 
measures that address civil liberties issues often take our state 
offices to the campaign trail, to stump for a measure that will 
improve civil liberties, or to fight against one that threatens them.

The documents collected in this area of the Free Reading Room are 
campaign statements on ballot initiatives or referenda on which ACLU state 
offices have taken a position.  Please direct all inquiries relating to
