I just pulled two articles off the AP feed about "cults" in Oregon and
Montana. In both cases these folks bother no one, have not been charged
with any crime, etc, etc.

In both cases some of the locals are asking for Federal investigations
due to vague concerns about these very private people who they believe
are "cults".

The evening the Feds burned Mt. Carmel to the ground, CNN interviewed
the former Waco DA who stated: (1) at no time did the Feds ask for any
information about the Branch-Davidians from local law enforcement and
(2) the local DA had investigated the Branch-Davidians for eight months
and found absolutely no evidence of child abuse.

I almost got sick hearing Atty Gen'l Reno characterize the firey
deaths of the children as being motivated by concern over child abuse.

As Goebbels correctly pointed out in Nazi Germany, say it often
enough and people will believe anything.
