did you catch it this morning?

at a 'prayer' breakfast in Texas, Pastor George intoned, "You can't be
President of the United States if you don't believe in God."

yes, right here in these United States of America with a Constitution that
never once mentions any diety and which forbids religious tests for office
and mandates separation of state and church, we have a president who has no
fear of stating catagorically and in public that atheists cannot be patriots,
shouldn't be considered citizens and cannot be president because they do not
believe in his cartoon superstition.

make your blood boil? make Jefferson and Madison spin in their crypts?

will you step up to the ballot box and exit Pastor George and his ilk to
stage right and down the capitol steps?

and all this time i thought all you needed to become President of the United
States of America was U.S. citizenship and the age of 35 years. silly me.
[sigh]

Article II [Executive and the President]

Section 1 -- 4

No Person except a natural born Citizen, or a Citizen of the United States,
at the time of the Adoption of this Constitution, shall be eligible to the
Office of President; neither shall any Person be eligible to that Office who
shall not have attained to the Age of thirty five Years, and been fourteen
Years a Resident within the United States.

Before he enter on the Execution of his Office, he shall take the following
Oath or Affirmation: -- "I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will
faithfully execute the Office of President of the United States, and will to
the best of my Ability, preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the
United States."

Article VI -- 3

The Senators and Representatives before mentioned, and the Members of the
several State Legislatures, and all executive and judicial Officers, both of
the United States and of the several states, shall be bound by Oath or
Affirmation, to support this Constitution; but no religious Test shall ever
be required as a Qualification to any Office or public Trust under the United
States.

Amendment I

Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or
prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or
of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to
petition the Government for a redress of grievances.

that's the U.S. Constitution that Pastor George and his cronies have sworn to
protect and defend.

nowhere in this great document are the words, "under God," nor is there any
requirement for a belief in 'god' of any kind. do you suppose Pastor/King
George has ever sat down and read the U.S. Constitution?

yet, someone added "So help me God" to the Oath of Office somewhere along the
line. several states have religious Tests in their Constitutions stating that
no one may serve at any level in their governments if they do not believe in
'god'.

these acts clearly are unconstitutional.

something is very wrong here. the U.S. Constitution has been defied and is
being deified in spite of its very strict language to the contrary.

what are you going to do about it?

WAKE UP, Americans! Pat Robertson is just the tip of the iceberg!
