I am indeed on fire with
         Delicious gnawing.
         I do know why but not how.
          
         I did not think that it would
         Happen again; I
         Had forgotten everything.
          
         Her eyes change color 'twixt green
         Of late summer leaves
         And cool blue of faded jeans.
          
         She is wondrous yet real in
         A world that seems not
         To ever mix those extremes
          
         You now know what ails me; how
         Have I succumbed to
         The cancer we must live with?
