Dr. Dmitri A. Kuznetsov (M.D., Ph.D., D.Sc.), Moscow, USSR
----------------------------------------------------------
Education: three earned doctorates
M.D. (Internal Diseases) Moscow 1st Sechenov Sch. of Med. (1978);
Ph.D. (Biochemistry() Moscow State University (1981);
D.Sc. (Molecular Biology), USSR Acad. of Med. Sci., Institute

neurotoxicology, with expertise in molecular biology and toxicology of
protein synthesis in eucaryotic cells. Over 40 English-written
publications appearing in US and West Europe starting with 1979, as
well as numerous non-English publications. Member of Editorial Board
of Ecology Research, Journal of Applied Biochemistry and Biophysics,
Advisory Board Member of the International Journal of Neuroscience.
Awards: In 1983, at the age of 29, won the coveted Lenin Komsomol
Prize, an award given annually to the Soviet Union's two brightest
young scientists. In 1986 he earned the USSR's Counsel of Ministries
Prize for his outstanding work in biochemistry.
Current Occupation: one of directors of LASERINVEST Inc., research
company which is joint venture between Russian, Indian, and UK
cosmetological research companies (head of biochemical lab in Moscow).
Also, head of Division of Science of The Protestant Christian
Publishers, Inc., Moscow, USSR.
Some Recent English-language Publications Include:
Kuznetsov,D.A.(1989). In Vitro Studies of Interactions Between
Frequent and Unique mRNAs and Cytoplasmic Factors From Brain Tissue of
Several Species of Wild Timber Voles of Northern Eurasia,
Clethrionomys Glareolus, Clethrionomys Frater and Clethrionomys
Gapperi" A New Criticism to a Modern Molecular-Genetic Concept of
Biological Evolution, Int. J. Neuroscience, 49,43-59.
[Note: data reported in the above article indicate an
extremely high probability of the complete inactivation in cytoplasm
(in brain cells, for instance) of the mRNA templates transcribed
previously from any "unusual," "strange," unique gene, that is from
the gene (or genes) which can be a result of a nonlethal mutagenesis,
i.e., of a spontaneous process postulated often as one of the main
molecular causes of biological evolution.]
Kuznetsov,D.A.(1989). Neurospecific Translation Control and
the Problem of Potent Danger of Drugs and Chemicals: A Caution, Int.
J. Neuroscience,49,1-42.
[Note: the above monograph is (1) a caution addressed to all
pharmacologists who are interested in reliable evaluation of safety of
new drugs and industrial chemicals, (2) a guide for physicians and
researchers whose aim consists in investigation of side effects of
well known "traditional" drugs, (3) a first attempt to analyze an
experience of protein synthesis research as a special way for
development of safe medicinal agents, and (4) an attempt to acquaint
authorities in neurochemistry, toxicology and pharmacology of the
Western countries with a number of findings obtained by colleagues in
the USSR and East Europe in many national languages but not usually
represented in international journals.]

Personal (April, 1991): He writes "I am a member of Moscow Baptist
Church. I was saved six years ago through a ministry of some pastors
of this church. BUT I BECAME CREATIONIST TWO YEARS BEFORE I BECAME
CHRISTIAN. Do not be surprised, keep in mind that this is a usual way
of search for Truth for intellectuals in Russia: first think about
creation and THEN about Creator."
Lecture titles related to science and the creation/evolution
controversy (3-5 for scientists and university students):
1. Non-Scientific Factors in Formation of Evolutionary Concepts
2. Russian Contributions to Modern Creationism
3. Molecular Biology and Linguistics in Creation Theory
4. Christian Education and Scientific Creationism
5. Philosophical Aspects of Creation/Evolution Controversy
