Voting members of the Creation Research Society are members who possess a
master's degree or Ph.D. in a scientific discipline.  The following table
gives the number of voting members of the CRS from its founding to 1992,
as reported in Henry Morris, _History of Modern Creationism_, p. 221.
Morris notes that "some of the figures for the early years are
approximations."

I predict that CRS membership will drop below 600 before the year 2000
and that the peak of 693 in 1981 will never be matched.  (Why?  As a
correlate of my separate prediction that ICR-style young-earth
creationism will fade when it loses the guiding hand of Henry Morris.
The CRS has irrevocably hitched itself to that kind of creationism--I
have been told that their by-laws, which may not be amended, forbid
the publication in the _Creation Research Society Quarterly_ of any
article which advocates an old earth.)

Well, that's a good sign of scientific neutrality...
What proportion of CRS voting members are Ph.D. geologists? I've read
that such geologists might be the rarest "breed" of young-earthers.
Does anyone have a breakdown of membership by profession or
research interest?
