The notoriously bizarre Institute for Creation Research (sic) cult
routinely publishes equally bizarre religious notions which they wish to
pretend are some how scientific. This text file takes some of the cult's
own bizarre publications and takes a look at them in extract to show just
how nutty (verging on the insane) these "Modern Day Flat Earth
Society" nuts actually are.

If you're reading this text you may be aware of the ICR cult's rather
amusing history in the State of California and its endless attempts to
try to pretend they're some how conducting science and that they some
how have the academic right to issue academic degrees.
The cult actually was handing out degrees to its followers as if
they were candy until the State of California had to step in and
put an immediate stop to the stupidity. California told the cult
bastards to stop it, the cult responded by trying once again to
acquire accredidation, the State came back and examined the cult,
found the cult _lied_ too many times, then left making sure that
the cult continued to refrain from claiming their "degrees"
they were handing out had any meaning.
All of this history is available on The Skeptic Tank yet I can recall
that one State officer talked with one of the "students,"
asking what he expected to do once he "graduated." The bewildered
reply was "with this degree?" Even the students knew that the
degrees being handed out were worthless.
This propaganda piece has the cult talking about its "degrees."
It is amusing to note that various cult leaders purchased their various
degrees from diploma mills else acquired their degrees in venues
like hydrolic engineering which hardly gives these nuts an education which
would grant them the right to proclaim their bizarre notions as if it were
learned, researched opinions. The ability to repair a blocked toilet does
not a scientist make.

<heh> Can you imagine?
"Greetings, Mr. Danford, you're here for the science teacher
position, correct?"
"Yes, sir, here's my resume."
"Ah, good. Let me see. yes, this looks very impressive. I see
you have a degree in science education! That's a big plus. Can
you tell me what the date of the last glacation across North
America was?"
"Oh, yes, sir, but the thing of it is, there's never been any
Ice Ages. That's a godless atheist lie designed to lead children
away from Jesus which, you must agree, is actually Satanism and
the cause of homosexuality."
<pause> "Thank you for coming in, Mr. Danford. You can find
your way out, can't you?" <pause> "Betty, would you call
campus police to help Mr. Danford find his way back to his car, please?"
Can you imagine? The ICR cult's agenda isn't a secret. The cult
is out to try to hammer, beat, twist, mutilate, and spindle
science so that it fits their religious beliefs and the cult makes
that admission a little further on in this propaganda piece:

Thus the "degrees" this cult issues come after the poor sot who
bought the degree has been subjected to classes which attempt to so muddle
science to the point where it becomes one with fantasy, fiction,
mythology, and outright fibs.
There's a lengthy, nutty, rather illiterate rant which followes
until we get to the next point in extract:

See, if truth doesn't conform to the classical Christanic mythologies,
one must "filter" the truth out until it conforms to the
mythologies.
I wonder if this cult wouldn't mind if we did the same with
Wonder Woman comic books. If they complained, they would have to
explain why their comic book is any different and why they should
be the only ones to play the game. Why not take an issue of
science -- say the charge on the electron -- and "filter the
knowledge through a Wonder Woman framework before applying it."
No difference.
And this is the level of "science;" the level of "academic
degrees" the ICR cult stands for, folks.

"Thank you for your permission however there's never any need
to.
One of the four Master's degree programs at the Institute
for Creation Research leads to a degree in science education.
In dealing with science education and faith issues,
integration can be defined as putting them together
into a synthetic whole under a Biblical umbrella.
The specific knowledge that a person acquires should be
available to be used in everyday life. In educational
circles, this is known as "general transfer" which involves
the process of being able to apply acquired knowledge to a
specific problem or situation. From the creationist
perspective this requires filtering the knowledge base
through a Biblical framework and applying it....
Creationist propaganda is already self-debunking." --
