Interesting blurb by Michael Graczyk ala Assoc. Press.......The Fed. Gov is
investigating the Quadro Corp of Harlelyville, S.C. for selling a device that
they (Quadro Corp) call the Positive Molecular Locator or the Quadro Tracker.
This is supposed to ferret out drugs and explosives or even find missing golf
balls, etc., when the user inserts a small "signature card" that contains the
"chip" representing the item to be detected.  The user then holds a companiion
device that has an antenna that is supposed to point to the item being hunted.
Quadro Corp contends that the static electricity in the user's body "charges
the free'floating neutral electrons of the signature card with the major
strength of the signal" and leads the person to the object.  The FBI lab and
the Sandia Nat. Labs showed the device to be nothing more than a hollow plastic
box attached to a retractable transistor radio antenna.  The "chip" inside was
found to be two pieces of plastic surrounding a piece of black photocopied
paper.  This rig runs from between $395 to $8,000 and so far consumers and even
law enforcement agencies has wasted over $1 million on this.  Perhaps LA could
get one of these and locate some "evidence" for his creation stuff???  Also,
perhaps all the good doswers can update their "rods" and get into the 20th
Century with all that good electronic stuff and "be the first kids on the
block.............."
