Re: Anthony Grigor-Scott
I see that Anthony Grigor-Scott has joined us. This deluded fundi is a
follower of the "prophet", William Branham. James Randi writing in "Be
Healed in the Name of God" section of _On The Barricades_ and previously
published in _Free Inquiry_ magazine Spring 1986 talks about this
"prophet". From page 166:
The Reverend William Branham, a preacher from Jeffersonville, Indiana, is
credited with initiating the present evangelical/fundamentalist healing
movement in the 1940s. Pastor Branham was so convincing a preacher that,
when he died in 1965, his burial was postponed for four months because his
flock expected him to rise from the dead at Easter. He didn't.
Anthony believes, among other things, that:
Branham is the "reveled Word of god".
Cain's father was the snake.
God is such a fool or pervert that he had Noah take not the mother of his
children on the Ark, but a woman who subsequently gave birth to the seed of
Satan, thus making gods killing off the world to eliminate evil a totally
ineffective act.
There were no "true" christians at the council of Nicea.
Perhaps Anthony can explain further these absurd beliefs. I, for one, am
laughing my ass of in anticipation.
