     And you thought it was just television. The Mission Statement of Pat
Robertson's Christian Broadcasting Network states that its goal is "to
prepare the United States of America, the nations of the Middle East, the
far East, South America, and other nations of the world for the coming of
Jesus Christ and the establishment of the kingdom of God on earth."

     Pat Robertson, of course, is the Christian media mogul who hired
Ralph Reed to led the Christian Coalition.

     Would-be presidential candidate Pat Buchanan is picking up donations
from the traditional corporate donors to the far Christian right -- Tom
Monaghan of Domino's Pizza and W. Grover Coors of the brewery fortune.
Both have donated heavily in the past to aggressive anti-choice
organizations. But so far the average donation to his campaign is just
forty bucks.
