   BEIJING (AP) -- An unidentified flying object that people said looked like an
oval, a comet or an orange flew over Shanghai, the official Xinhua News Agency
reported Friday. 
   The news agency said the UFO passed over China's largest city between 7:50
and 8:30 p.m. Thursday. It said some people reported it looked like an oval
plate, while others said it resembled a comet with a tail like an umbrella and
one witness said it appeared to be an orange spinning clockwise. 
   Military planes took off to trace and observe the object, but the army did
not release details of any findings, Xinhua said.
