AMER recently received a certificate of appreciation from the
Missouri Highway Department and a thank you letter from Missouri
Governor John Ashcroft for its participation in the "Adopt a
Highway" program.

Under the supervision of AMER member Ed Short Jr., various other
members have gathered once a month to clean litter from a stretch
of I-170 just south of I-270 in north St. Louis county.

Anyone wishing to participate can leave a message for Ed on the
AMER voice mail service.
