Being Single-Minded

	James 1:5-8 says, "If any of you lack wisdom, he should ask God,
who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to
him, but when he asks, he must believe and not doubt, because he who doubts
is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind.  That man should
not think he will receive anything from the Lord; he is a double-minded
man, unstable in all that he does."

	Often people are double-minded because of false teachings or man's
traditions that they have held to in the past.  That double-mindedness can
be changed and you can become single-minded in your relationship with God.
	First, pray and ask forgiveness.  Ask God to take out all wrong
teaching and false beliefs. Then confess the following affirmations and
scriptures.

Affirmation:   "I have singleness of purpose to serve God with my entire
                spirit, heart, mind and body.  I am single-minded about the
                truth of God's Word."

Hebrews 10:23 says,  "Let us hold unswervingly to the hope we profess, for
                      he who promised is faithful."
2 Timothy 1:12b says,"I know whom I have believed, and am convinced that he
                      is able to guard what I have entrusted to him for
                      that day.


Affirmation:   "I seek first God's kingdom and His righteousness and I am
                not anxious, for I know that God will supply all my needs
                according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus.  I am
                single-minded and stable in all my ways."

Matthew 6:33 says,   "Seek ye first the kingdom of God and his righteousness
                      and all these things shall be added unto you."


Read these aloud every day until you have become single-minded in your
faith about God.  Other scriptures you can use: Ps.57:7, 108:1, 112:7 & 8;
Is.26:3; Dan.1:8; Heb.3:14.
