³CAIRO (JAN. 6) DPA - Nuclear scientists are to examine      ³
³ancient Egyptian graves to see if radioactivity might       ³
³explain the legend of the Curse of the Pharaohs.            ³

³A year-long study is to begin next week, the Cairo daily    ³
³Egyptian Gazette reported Monday. Experts have long puzzled ³
³over the apparently premature deaths of persons who have    ³
³opened pharaonic tombs.                                     ³

³An Egyptian doctor recently discovered that many mummies    ³
³from the time of the pharaohs were radioactive. Scientists  ³
³suggest that a possibly radioactive material used in the    ³
³mummification process might be reponsible for the ''curse''.³
