Hi, there, and welcome to PR_STUDIES. This echo is set up to act as a
discussion forum for academic ideas about the Craft and neo-paganism. Its area
of interest includes, but is not limited to, History, Anthropology, Sociology,
Musicology, Semiotics, Mythology, etc, etc, etc.
The purpose is to offer people a forum for exchanging ideas and resources that
are of use in both academic and, hopefully, Craft fields. The rules are fairly
straight forward:
1) Postings should be in the nature of disussion and/or presentation of ideas
not "chatter" per se.
2) Due to the academic nature of this echo, posting restrictions on the use of
"scriptures" are considerably easier than most other areas. Feel free to post
"scripture" if it is germaine to the logic of your discussion or argument.
However, prosletyzing and conversion attempts are still considered to be
verboten.
3) Postings may be in any language, but please remember that many people are
only profficient in English.
4) Postings may include questionaires, and responses to them. The only request
I have is that the results of such surveys be made available through the echo.
5) News postings. I hope that people will post news items about conferences
and/or public lectures of interest.
6) Thread Headings. Please try to keep them concictent so that people can
trace an argument/discussion.
7) Bio postings. If you are engaged in research, and wish to post a bio,
please feel free to do so.
I think that's about it for now. I hope that you all enjoy this area.
Bright Blessings Marios
