He was 48. Puccio died Feb. 21 at his North Hollywood home of problems related to acquired immune deficiency syndrome, according to an unidentified family spokesman cited Sunday by the Los Angeles Times. Puccio claimed to have had psychic experiences since he was 3, but warned listeners that he didn't have all the answers. "I think there's the danger a lot of times with psychics that we have a tendency to be placed in a position of being God, and we're not," he told the Times last year. "I have to be careful about what my message is. I don't want to come across as some squirelly person or some person who is out of left field or spacey." Puccio had a television cable show, "The Happy Medium," from 1980 to 1985. In 1986 he moved to an hour-long morning show on radio station KFI-AM. He left the air in July because of his debilitating disease, the Times said. Puccio is survived by his parents and brother, who asked for contributions to AIDS research.
