ABORIGINE SKULLS RETURNED TO AUSTRALIAN NATIVES AFTER 100
YEARS

LONDON (SEPT. 30) DPA - Three hundred aborigine skulls were
handed over to a delegation of Australia's native
inhabitants in London Monday for burial on tribal grounds.

The skulls had been taken from the former British colony 100
years ago for research at Edinburgh University in Scotland
on whether aborigines were the earliest form of human life.

The university's decision to return the remains to an
aborigine foundation was preceded by a long legal argument.
