Another song was brought to my attention by the Spirit. Again, it is a song from an old album; one which I enjoyed many years ago. The Title of the album is IT'S BEEN A LONG TIME, by The New Birth, 1973, RCA. There is one particular song called Wildflower, in which the Spirit has shown me a certain message. The song speaks of the relationship between the Son and His Bride. According to the Bible, the Son will return to marry His Bride, who is the Church. The Church will have been tried by fire, to remove all her dross. She will be arrayed in fine, white linen, without spot or blemish. Some of you may be familiar with the Song of Solomon, which is also a love song about the Son and His returning from a long journey to marry His Bride. Some people get a little embarassed, when folks talk about Jesus as a bridegroom, but I feel that the scriptures in the Bible bear this out. For some reason, our Creator has made an anology between the love of the Son for the Church, and the love between a Husband and a Wife. Perhaps it is quite fitting, as their coming marriage will give birth to a New Earth. As you read the words of the song, keep in mind, that these words would be spoken by the Son to His Bride, just before His return. Remember He is head over heels in love with her; and in this sense, the romantic lyrics are fitting. It is my hope that the words of this song, and my attempt to interpret them will be a source of strength and blessing to the reader. First, let me give you the words of the song, as I hear them: (fanfare of trumpets and electric guitar) She's faced the hardest times, you could imagine. You see, the reason why I say this baby, is because I love you, girl. I love you so much, I sometime can't even explain. You see, you're like a flower, that blooms, in any season. And that's what I'd like to say. You're my flower. Baby. You're my flower. (Singing again) Oooh baby! A flower. You're my flower. Flower. It's you baby. Yea. It's you. It's you, baby, baby. (Fanfare of trumpets) 's you baby, 's you, it's you baby. Girl, yea, yea, yea, yea. I love ya, baby. You're my flower. It's you baby. 's you, you you you, yea, yea, yea, yea. I love you. Ah! I love you, yea, yea, yea. You, you, you, you, baby, babeeeeeeee! You! You baby. You're my flower. And I'm in love, I got love, gotta love ya. Sweeter than honey, baby. Yea, yea. Well, I know on the surface, it seems like any other love song, but the Spirit has impressed some meanings in this one, on my heart. If you have read my previous song interpretation of Elton John's "CURTAINS", you will remember the line that starts, "Cultivate the freshest flower; this Garden ever grew". I tie this in with this Wildflower song. That one flower, that is cultivated by the Spirit, ** represents ** the People of God. Who are the People of God? Whoever walks by the Spirit of our Creator. There are so many names and labels, used by people. The point is, in both songs the one flower is used as a symbol for the people that God will take into the New Earth. That flower is the symbol of The Church, sometimes called the Mystical, Body of Christ. The Church is also a symbol for the Bride of Christ. His Girl, if you will. This is a love song, and there is no reason to be ashamed of how much the Son loves you. Yes, even with a romantic love. There is nothing 'dirty' or blasphemous about it. The example has been laid down in the Bible of God's people preparing, in the last days, for the marriage Supper of the Lamb. Jesus told a parable of the ten virgins who awaited the return of the bridegroom. Why does this analogy seem so important? Could it be, God is showing that He is building a Family? A gift of a Bride to the Son, who is responsible for this Creation. As the Bible says, everything is created by his Word, and the Son and the Word, are the same person. Another reason for this emphasis, on the Son who goes away on a long journey, and returns to marry his betrothed, is that he expects to find that she has been faithful to him, in his absence. This point, will be crucial, right up to the end of this age, as one will come, in the name of the bridegroom, but this one, will be false, and the Bride must be sharp, and not fall into bed with the wrong Husband! For when her true husband, does come, He will not want any part of her, no matter what she did in his name, before that time. That's what is meant, by, "He that endures until the end, the same shall be saved". The Bride must endure to the very end, and not waiver in her allegiance to the TRUE bridegroom, the Son. And so, let's look for additional messages in the song, considering the lyrics to be the tender sayings of the The Son, to us, His Bride. I will use the initials JC for Jesus Christ; where the lyrics are mentioned. Don't be offended, as there are many names, used by peoples, worldwide to refer to the Son, the one responsible for us and the Earth. JC> She's faced the hardest times, you could imagine. JC> And when her useful world, was about to fall in, JC> Each time her slender shoulders, JC> fought the weight of all her fears, JC> And a siren, no one hears, JC> Still rings in midnight silence, in her ears. We must remember she is the True Church; how do we know who she is? We cannot. Only He knows, who comprises her, but each of us can know where we stand, individually. There is no denomination, or man-made church, whose label would befit her. She, the true Church, has faced hard times; that is, persecution. Near the end of this age, her useful world is about to fall in. We see this happening now. The siren she hears, is a warning siren, like the ones that emergency vehicles sound. No one else, but God's people hear this siren and recognize it. This siren, sounds near midnight, a time that symbolizes the end of this age. This stanza shows that The Son, is well aware of the situation that she is in. Her slender shoulders shows the feminine aspect of the Church. Her fears may stem from the persecution, and having to keep the 'faith', while waiting for her Husband to be, to return. Yet, as that time approaches, she, and only she, can hear the warning sirens. (Refrain) JC> Let her cry, for she's a Lady. JC> Let her dream, for she is a child. JC> Let the rain fall down, upon her. JC> She's a free and gentle flower, growing wild. It's ok for her to cry, because, representing that feminine aspect of God's creation, she can and does show that tenderness of spirit. She can weep for the plight of the people who may not join with her, and/or weep tears of joy, now that the sirens are warning that her Bridegroom is coming. Let her dream of the coming Kingdom, for she is a Child of God. Now, this rain that falls upon her, and causes her to grow into maturity, is a very important point to bring out. Here the Son is asking for the rain to be poured out upon her. This rain is the help he is giving her, before he returns. This rain, gives her strength to endure to the end, against persecution, and the lack of faith of those who don't dream and hope for the coming Kingdom. This rain, is called the Latter Rain in the Bible. The Latter Rain is the Truth that will be poured out upon all people, just before the end of this age. The same Spirit of God, that is prophesied in the Book of Joel, where God says, "In the last days, I will pour out my Spirit upon **** ALL *** flesh". This outpouring will cause people to dream vivid dreams, see visions, and prophesy. This Spirit tells the people of Earth, the Truth, allowing them to make an informed Choice, before the end of the age, and the Sorting. Some Bible verses that speak of the Latter Rain: Proverbs 16:15. Hosea 5:3 . Joel 2:23. James 5:7 . "Be patient therefore, brethren, unto the coming of the Lord. Behold, the husbandman waiteth for the precious fruit of the earth, and hath long patience for it, until he receive the early and the latter rain." James 5:8 . "Be ye also patient; stablish your hearts: for the coming of the Lord draweth nigh." She's a free and gentle flower, growing wild. Needs no interpretation. JC> And if by chance, I should hold her, JC> Let me hold her for all Time. JC> And if I'm 'llowed just one possession, JC> I would pick her, from the Garden, to be Mine. The Bridegroom is really in love, and once he gets to hold her, he will never let her go. Notice that should he ask the Father for one possession from Creation, he would pick her to be His. Beautiful. Could bring a lil tear to an eye. The Garden, again is a symbol of Earth. As it was in the Curtains song, where the freshest flower this Garden ever grew, was cultivated by the Spirit of God, which, by the way, is within each and every one of you. So, the Son would pick her from the Earth, as the most prized possession. (Fanfare of trumpets!) To me, trumpets, remind me of the scenarios of the last days, spoken of in the Book of Revelations, which are accompanied by the sounding of trumpets in Heaven. JC> Be careful how you touch her, JC> For she'll Awaken. JC> For sleep's the only freedom, JC> Ooh, that she knows. JC> Lord, Lord. JC> When you walk into her eyes, JC> You won't believe, JC> The way she's always payin' JC> For a debt, she never owed, JC> And the silent Wind still blows, JC> But only she can hear, JC> So, she goes. So many people, touched by that outpoured Spirit, have been going around telling people to "Wake Up" ( *** WACO! *** ). It is the same Spirit of Our Creator, 'touching' people of all cultures, races, and religious persuasions. This Spirit, is doing the same work, via different methods, all around this planet. Here, the Son is saying that the time has come for her to awaken; come out of that sleep that has bound us into slavery, and awaken to the true freedom, which can ONLY come from, and be IN, God, our Creator. The Son says, as you choose to align youself with Him, as his bride, you will be suprised at the works you will be called upon to do. It is you, who will stand for God, in the earth; and you will be persecuted. Why? You will be persecuted, because you will not accept the false bridegroom. The others who do, will try their best to convert you, to make you go with them to the marriage supper. Only you will here the silent wind, silent to them, but to you, it whispers the truth. And so you go, go on waiting for the true bridegroom. And when He comes, he will be happy to marry you, because you endured to the end. (Interlude - speaking (not singing) with background vocals) JC> Sit down baby. JC> Let me rap to you, for a second. JC> You see, I know you have it hard sometimes. JC> But when you feel like you need me, JC> ah you can call me, JC> you see because I'll be somewhere around. JC> You see not only that, JC> you see, I'll be your bridge over troubled waters. We can call on him, anytime for help. Anyone can call on him, no matter what religious label you wear, he is available to God's people. It is an office he holds. He says, he knows we have it hard sometimes, but he is always somewhere nearby, and will be a bridge over the troubled waters. Then he goes on to explain WHY he is available to us in this way; because he loves us soooooooo much! Soooo much, that even the The Son is at a lost for words to describe his love for us! Can you feel that? Now? Do you know that? Now? I hope so.... We are like a flower. Tended by the Spirit of God; ready to bloom at any time. JC> 's you, you you you, yea, yea, yea, yea. JC> I love you. Ah! I love you, yea, yea, yea. JC> You, you, you, you, baby, babeeeeeeee! This is just a portion of the lyrics that finish the song. I wish you could hear the soundtrack. Why does He repeat, "it's you", over and over? Emphasis. He wants you to know, for sure, that you are in God. You are His Bride. You are His Children. You need not doubt. It's you. With no doubt, you will be able to move mountains; you will be able to do works for God, you will be able to wait patiently for the true bridegroom, no matter what anyone else says; because you KNOW for sure, who it is you serve. No one can tell you; you just know. When you DO know, rest assured. He is saying, over and over, yes, it's true, it IS true. Don't doubt. So then be led by the Spirit that you KNOW is of God, within you. I know my interpretation is laced with Christian terminology, and I make no disclaimer for it, because it is the foundation from which I was able to feel, see and hear this message in the song. But the message is for ALL people, Christian or not. Indeed, I am hoping that some Christians will find this information helpful to them. Yet for all people the message is that our Creator loves us. He has caused his Spirit of Truth to pour over us, to inform us, of what is happening in our world. He has put his Truth in many writings of his people, over many centuries to tell us about himself, and ourselves, and the meaning of our existence. But this age is ending, just like a season changes from Fall to Winter. The Universe in creation has it's seasons. And so by necessity, we will go through a change. Each person chooses his own path. The times we are in now, are the times of choosing. Be informed. Partake of his outpoured Spirit, and make an informed choice. I hope this song has been helpful to you.
