This is what's happening:
Arrived at the big org about 5pm, the first thing I notice is that
they have someone waiting outside for me to show up, a spotter.
I've been doing this long enough that I can tell when they do that.
And it has been many months since they used a spotter.
Second thing I notice, while crossing the street, is that the glass on
the door is gone, replaced with a sheet of wood. The spotter, a
female, has spotted me by now and is going into the building. I then
am close enough to see that the big glass window next to the door is
also smashed. But not completely, it is still holding in the frame.
One of the Problem Children, one I have no name for, comes running out
the building and takes off down the street. So I forget all about
him. While picketing I notice he is across the street and looking
into my car. The window is down and the car is unlocked. He sees me
looking at him and leaves the car. It turns out that the guy is
crossing the street at the approved crosswalk, like one is supposed to
do. I always just cross the street illegally. So now I wait until he
is across the street and walk away from the building to ask him why he
is looking in my car. He is running to the building and I put my hand
up in a 'stop' gesture and ask him, "what were you looking for?".
He said, "shut-up faggot" and ran around me. I thought for a moment
he was going to run through me.
At the little org there was a window that was smashed, I first noticed
it 12/1/96. It was replaced about 1/24/97. I had never posted about
that broken window because I knew it would be fixed if I did so.
Last year I had posted about the glass on the door of the big org
being broken and repaired by the next day.
Now then, I do *not* smash windows. That is not my thing. I've never
done anything like that in my life. Stuff like that is not me.
Seeing the windows smashed as they are put a damper on my picket this
evening. It upset me so much I did not even feel like staying. But,
I remained about 40 minutes, long enough for the police to arrive if
they had called them. The police never did arrive.
It occurs to me that they are smashing their own windows to get me in
trouble. Yet, the police have not been called. Friends tell me that
all that is needed is for a few of them to _claim_ I did the damage
and I can be arrested and charged. I live alone and would be hard
pressed to prove that I did not do the damage if they knew I was at
home at the time. I keep odd hours, at any given time of the day or
night I'm liable to be in a casino working. Whenever I am in the
casino's I always make enough noise so that some of the employees
would be able to verify I was there. I've been doing this for over a
year now as a protective measure, it has become an automatic thing.
But in the apartment alone, I cannot prove anything. So I'm really
getting worried about this. As I've said in other posts, they are
getting more angry and aggressive on the whole.
While a clam, on-lines at CCLV, and while I had a scientology
roommate, and while various visiting sea org were staying at my
apartment, this same apt. At that time CCLV was being vandalized
heavily. Movie cameras were stolen, tape decks, money, wallets, other
things. The windows were being broken constantly. This all stopped
when I started doing drive by's in the early morning hours to catch
whoever was doing these crimes. I never did catch anyone, but the
vandalism had stopped for a while. I have witnesses to all of this.
Some of them ex-clams, some current.
So this breaking of the windows is not a new thing. In fact Kevin had
pointed out that some of the windows of the big org had a protective
cover to stop them from being broken. I had never noticed it that
way.
I may just stop picketing, I've got to decide on this. I've had four
threats on my life already. Now that part does not bother me that
much. Dead is dead. But the thought of doing time in jail, that part
bothers me.
My car is always unlocked. I leave my picket signs in them and figure
that if the monkeys want them I don't want them to break a window to
get to them. I'll continue to leave my car unlocked, I'm thinking
that legally it is safer to do it that way. In fact, it is a
hatchback and the trunk lock had a problem so I had just removed the
entire mechanism some months back. So the car cannot be locked.
What I would like feedback on is what to do. I'd like suggestions.
In the end I will make my own decisions, but I would like to hear
different arguments.
