INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (EP) -- Andrew Cate was sentenced to 60 years in
prison March 31. Cate was convicted of fatally shooting his 2-year-old
daughter, then walking naked through his neighborhood carrying her
body.

Cate claimed he was acting out the biblical story of Abraham and Isaac.
Cate said he believed a miracle would win his brother to the Christian
faith.

In the Old Testament story, God commanded Abraham to kill Isaac, but at
the last minute intervened and provided another sacrifice. Cate said he
believed God would do the same thing with his daughter.
