The Scientist 
      The Scientist  is a new biweekly newspaper "for the science
professional" from the Institute for Scientific Information (the
folks who bring you the various  Current Contents , among other
publications). As soon as the first few numbers hit the library
shelves, articles and letters on the creation/evolution controversy
began to appear. In Vol. 1 (5), 26 January 1987, (p. 12),  Craig K.
Svensson  (Pharmaceutical Sciences, Wayne State University)
published "A Creationist Responds," and this piece (according to
the editors of  The Scientist ) "resulted in an outpouring of
thoughtful letters." Some of those letters were printed in the
March 9 and 23 numbers of the journal. (We disagree with Svensson's
arguments, by the way, but think the exchange of views is worth
noting.)
