[Fade in, MacGyver and Pete are being held hostage by terrorists) Pete: What are we going to do MacGyver? MacGyver: I'll think of something, we're in a laboratory, so that's a start. Pete: Hurry MacGyver! Terrorist #1: Tocal Choka Maga Mopa! Pete: What'd he say? MacGyver: He said "Shut up or die". Pete: Oh. MacGyver: Distract 'em Pete...I have an idea! Pete: Ok...(To terrorist #2) Hey buddy....what are you holding us for? [MacGyver sneaks over and grabs some chemicals, as he reads them off to himself. If the viewer is careful enough, he will notice one of the bottles is NOT the chemical MacGyver named.] MacGyver: Get ready for my smokescreen, Pete! (Throws down chemicals) [Smoke rises and when it clears Pete and MacGyver are GONE.] [Fade in bridge of Enterprise NCC-1701D, MacGyver and Pete appear suddenly on the Bridge. Worf immediately rips out a phaser.] Worf: Don't move! Pete: MacGyver! Where are we? I thought you were making a smoke screen! MacGyver: Ok, so maybe I used too much of something! [Title screen appears.] MacGyver meets STAR TREK: The Next Generation Benjamin A. Hunter Picard: Who are you, and what are you doing on the bridge? MacGyver: I'm MacGyver, and I don't know. Pete: I'm Pete. Ditto here. Picard: Picard to Data, Crusher, and Riker. Get to the Bridge, now! [Beverly Crusher is first on the scene.] Crusher: Yes, Captain. Picard: See if they're human. Make sure they aren't contaminated. Pete: What? Of course we're human! Who are you? And WHAT is that. (Points at Worf, who sneers at him) MacGyver: I think we should shut up, Pete. Pete: Good Idea. Crusher: They're human, but something funny, Captain... Picard: Yes? Bev: Their bioimmunities are that of a late 20th century human. Picard: How peculiar. MacGyver: Wait a sec...what century, exactly, is this? Picard: The 24th, are you stupid? MacGyver: I think I need to sit down. Picard: What exactly is wrong? Pete: I'll tell you what's wrong! This is the 20th Century! Not the 24th! Picard: I'm afraid you are incorrect. [Data enters.] Picard: Ahh, Data...run a check on a 19th century human named MacGyver. Data: Of course, captain. (Checks computer) I believe I have found what you wish, sir. Apparently, according to two very scared captured terrorists, this MacGyver and a friend named Pete disappeared in a "puff of smoke", never to be seen again. Both worked for The PHOENIX Foundation, a nonprofit organization. The operation was soon shut down without these two men to run it. I have accessed voice print records and pictures. It appears, Captain, that these two men are indeed from the late 20th century. MacGyver: Wait, are you telling me I'M IN THE 24TH CENTURY? Data: It appears so, sir. [Riker enters.] Picard: Give these men a tour of the ship. Riker: Yes, sir. [The three men proceed on a tour of the ship. Finally they come to the engine room, where Geordi is hard at work.] Geordi: I can't get the Warp Drive to work. MacGyver: Let me take a look. [Riker laughs.] Pete: Let him...you may be surprised. [MacGyver looks at the engine, dismantles a ball point pen, uses his knife a bit, and fixes the Warp drives.] Geordi: Amazing! MacGyver: Not really. Geordi: Not only did he fix it, he increased the speed capabilities! [Riker takes them back to the bridge.] Picard: Thank you for fixing the Engines MacGyver, but I am afraid we can't return you to the 20th century. [All of a sudden smoke rises again.] MacGyver: Maybe you don't have- Picard: Huh? Where'd he go? Data: Sir, this is really strange....The records show that MacGyver and his friend Pete didn't disappear....in fact, they turned the tables on the terrorists by using a few paper clips, a rubber band, and a piece of paper. Picard: Fascinating. [Fade to Lab.] [MacGyver and Pete reappear. MacGyver makes a device from above items and they capture the terrorists.] THE END
