To correct a slight misrepresentation:
Witchcraft is not as you (or your source) says: "The one common theme running
through modern witchcraft is the practice of and belief in things forbidden by
God in the Bible as occultic."
Witchcraft is, quite unlike Satanism, the worship of Nature and especially the
earth as a "force" or "supreme being". Satanism is the deliberate defiance of
the Bible and God. It is most like (to the opposite extreme) Catholocism. In
Satanism, you find such things as "Black Mass", and inverted crosses. The
symbol, or trademark of Satanism is displayed on the cover of their
publication "The Cloven Hoof", which depicts a dragon devouring the body of
Christ from the cross.
Witchcraft aspires to none of these things. Today, witches and warlocks are
more concerned with Summer and Winter Solstices and the Seasonal Equinoxes and
the likes. Things actually like or perverted from truely religous themes are
the doings of Satanism and a few of it's close offshoots.
Nevertheless, witchcraft is not the worship of the true God. But is is also
not an anti-Biblical (notice I didn't say ungodly) thing.
In Christ Jesus,
Kirby
p.s. Witchcraft does not pervert the things of God intentionally, as your
message suggests. They do not believe in God. The Satanist believes in God,
yet deliberatly distorts and perverts those things that he associates with
God.

Hello Kirby, It is nice to hear from you again. From your post I have to
disagree with you. God said to Worship NO other gods but me. Since there are
only two sources of worship (either God or Satan) then I must conclude that
witches are worshipping Satan since God calls them an abomination. They do
fall into the class of Devil worship if they error from the ways of God. It
doesn't matter how good they are or what nice thing they do, as they are still
in rebellion to God's Word.
There is ONLY one way to become a Christian and Only one person to believe in
and that is Jesus Christ. Contrary to popular belief, all paths do not lead to
God and Salvation in Jesus Christ. Because there is only ONE way to eternal
Salvation ALL other roads lead to Hell. That is the Truth from God and you
either have to accept it, and go His way to Heaven or go your way to
everlasting distruction. (That last sentence is not questioning your Salvation
but for the benefit of those that read this post).
Talk to you later.
James

But we DO believe in God. And also in Goddess. Just not the same concept of
God that the Christians believe in. Bb Rowan

Well, that is what the Bible says, or at least what Christians interpret the
Bible to say, but there are a LOT of folks in the world who don't accept the
authority of the Bible as the inspired word of God. BB Rowan

Ok, well I think I know that it is the wqorship of something called wikka? Is
that a name of a deity, or of a cult, or practice or what? Also, what is
different about its basic beliefs from christianity?

OK, bu now the comparrison chart between Wicca and Christianity should have
made it to your node. The word "Wicca" comes from an old Anglo-Saxon word
meaning "to bend or to shape." Thus Wiccans are the benders and shapers of the
forces of Nature. Some etymologists argue that the word meant "Wise" but there
is really no way of telling as ancient Anglo-Saxon is no longer a living
language. There are a lot of theories, but no one really knows for sure. BB

I, like a lot of people, view a witch as a middle aged lady in a black dress
with a black pointed hat. Or at the very least a "wizard" like Gandalf in
Tolkien's books. You get the idea. In your messages, you refer to yourself
as a witch "a fellow witch".
What exactly do y'all DO?
What exactly do you believe?

Oh dear, Milind, that's a lot of question. Could you narrow the subject matter
down a bit? I promise you, I'm not QUITE middle aged, and I look terrible in
Black, although I LOVE hats, but none of them have points on top.:-). I also
don't have green skin or warts on my nose. BBl Rowan
