POINT-SOURCE PLEOCHROIC HALOS; update 3/21/93, by John Brawley Unambiguous, unquestionable photographic evidence now exists which demonstrates the formation of Polonium-218 (3-ring only) pleochroic point source radiohalos in biotite mica _FROM_RADON-222. After putting my work away except for a few bits and pieces, I was examining mica from the Sinkhole Mine in North Carolina's Bandana pegmatite district, and found a sinuous crack with several distinct Po-218 halos in it, with the _ENTIRE_CRACK_ showing the 3-ring halo all along its length. There is no known way for this full- crack-length _three-ring_ halo to form except via the migration of Radon-222 gas into the crack, with some locations holding the atoms in place longer than others. None of the Uranium rings are present in this sample, in the circular point source halos OR in the linear crack- source halo. The ringed halos are identical to those depicted in Dr. Gentry's 'radiohalo catalogue' in his 1988 book _Creation's_Tiny_Mystery_. The four complete Po-218 halos and the several partially- formed ones, along with the perfectly matching haloing along the full length of the crack in which they are situated, provides conclusive evidence that the Polonium halos are not formed by God's deliberate placing of the isotope particles in the biotite, but that they are formed from thermally-driven migrating atoms of Radon-222 decaying _TO_ Polonium-218 in these cracks. As far as my personal investigation is concerned, the job is done, Dr. Gentry is wrong, and the hypothesis that the existence of "Polonium-218" halos is evidence that Earth was formed less than 10,000 years ago, is FALSIFIED. copyright (c) 1993 by John Brawley.
