    Our existence is not proof of anything but our existence.

    The notion there simply MUST be an intelligent, sentient creator
to explain the existence of all things is simply an artifact of
limited understanding.

    The universe may or may not possess a sentience analagous to human
sentience. It is not known. The tales of "God" as expressed in
conventional Christianity are little more than primitive superstitions
akin to the beliefs of those who practice voodoo.

     There are ten thousand religions claiming a patent on God. They
differ widely and their followers feel quite free to imagine
themselves correct. They cannot all be right, but they can all be wrong.

    The one thing they have in common is humans and their psychology.
Children and primitives tend to see the world through superstitious
eyes. Many people never mature intellectually beyond childhood thus
the appeal of invisible-magic-beings as an explanation for that which
they do not understand.

    Adults can understand children because they once were children
themselves. Children cannot really understand adults because they
haven't experienced adulthood yet. Thus it is with religion. The
holders of childish beliefs simply cannot understand mature
spirituality because they are mere children. Perhaps they will someday
outgrow their childishness, but there is no guarantee. Childishly
self-satisfied, like cocky teenagers, most cling to the beliefs of
their childhood and progress no further.
