I reluctantly gave Barton a 30 day vacation for calling 2 different conferees a bigot withing a one hour time span. (You gave me a vacation for saying >less< to Steve Chong. ) BTW, I even got a public thank you from 2 people for that action against Barton, including, guess-who? ...None other than Julie Presson herself. Re: "Crap" and "X-tian" I made no rulings on the use of these terms. I expressed an opinion only. I even made a point of saying the words were allowable. It was plain that I would not be able to express opinions in this echo after only a few days, because there was always the fact that it was the MODERATOR expressing the opinion. In other words, I was doomed in advance, because nobody would allow Jack Sargeant to express his views. If the views were unpopular, then they were looked upon as "official." All these tirades and diatribe, including yours, are about 2 friggin' words, "Crap" and "X-tian," that I specifically said COULD be used. In other words, I was held in low esteem for expressing an >un-official< opinion. Finally, there was no way I was entitled to an opposing view without the "moderator" stigma being attached by a suspicious, uncaring, unreasonable, non-adult group (in hind-sight). Other than YOUR opinion of my >un-official< opinions, and THEIR opinions of my >un-official< views, there were dozens and dozens of messages either to me or about me over my >un-official< views. THAT is fairness? I think not. I have asked my friend to stop sending me these "tidbits" from you and others on this echo. I cannot reply to what I cannot read. I have turned-off SKEPTIC and will turn this one off momentarily (again). I don't need any more grief. Good luck, and good bye, Don Allen. I'll not be a bother to you again. Jack It's not your wit and charm I appreciate, it's your long absences. --- FMail 1.22 * Origin: -=Keep Watching the Skies=- Charlotte, NC (1:379/12) -> Alice4Mac 2.4.4 E QWK Hiya:05Nov94 Origin: ----------> Jack Sargeant, you look fabulist!
