Hello Annette, this is not a response to any of your posts, nor an attack on
your intellect. This is just a freindly hello. You may not see many of them
here in what we affectionately call the Shark Pit.

You may find this area uncomfortable, irritating, alarming, embarassing, or any
other number of ways of describing it. However, it is challenging. It really
pays to take time to search yourself carefully for the answers to some of the
questions even if the way it is ask makes you upset.

My approach is to listen, think about the essence of the question rather than
the derogatory comments along side. If the question makes me think and evaluate
my choices in life, then it's worthwhile. If it clings to flawed reasoning in
light of new information, or offers nothing for entertainment I hit the useful
"enter" key and go on.

I will not go for the jugular out of spite, but I may ask questions that will
expose controversial issues for you to think about. In doing so, I hope that
you will consider them seriously before you decide that you already know all
the answers.   There is a huge world of information available to us today. We
have the right to choose which pieces we hold dear, but we must be willing to
live with the consequences of our choices.

If your choices include a religious viewpoint that you find useful and
fulfilling in your life, that is fine. If however, you begin to use your
choices to make choices for others on the basis of that religious belief,
expect resistance. There are many religious points of view, and each should be
a personal choice of the individual.   How can one have made a personal choice
for anything, if they have not thourghly examined several possibilities??

Dinner this evening, your choice. Chicken or maggots?  Some choice.
Relgion, your choice.  My way or Hell??  Some choice.
