Kuhn Joins Science Directorate as Science Initiative Coordinator

In June, Brooke Kuhn joined the Science Directorate as Science Initiative Coordinator. She will assist in organizing and implementing three Special Science Initiative projects, including the Science Writers Fellowship Program, Summer Science Institute, and Special Interest Groups. Within this newly created position, she will be working with Virginia Holt and Christine Hartel, PhD, in the Science Directorate.

Kuhn received a Bachelor's of Art in biopsychology from Vassar College in 1993. After graduating, she was Assistant Director of Telemedicine and Distance Learning at Optical Communications Corporation. She continues to write commissioned articles for Johns Hopkins University's Women's Health and for Anesthesiology News. She also volunteers as an emergency medical technician for the Sandy Spring Volunteer Fire Department and as a teacher of English to immigrants.
