Mentored Scientist Development Award for New Minority Faculty


The National Institute of Mental Health (NIMH) announces a Mentored Scientist Development Award for New Minority Faculty (MSDA/NMF). MSDA/NMF enables minority faculty members to become outstanding investigators in mental health research by allowing them the time and assistance necessary to initiate a research program early in their careers.

New minority faculty entering tenure-track positions are eligible for this award; however, they must have appropriate mentoring and support from their institution.

Awards will vary in size, paying some salary and some start-up research funds.

Deadlines for applications are June 1, 1995, October 1, 1995, and February 1, 1996.
