Since some of the materials which describe the $cientology cult could be
considered to be copywritten materials, I have censored myself and The
Skeptic Tank by deleting any and all possible text files which describes
the cult's hidden mythologies. I have elected to quote just a bit of the
questionable text according to the "Fair Use" legal findings afforded to
those who report. - Fredric L. Rice, The Skeptic Tank, 09/Sep/95

I came to a.r.s. fairly recently with an open mind about the actions the
ch*rch undertakes outside its membership (message cancellations excepted).
With extremely few exceptions, the ch*ch posters have been at best
misleading or at worst have presented outright lies that were contradicted
by public documents, logic, or plain common sense. If you want to check
out one of the web pages (http://amazing.cinenet.net/scientology.html is a
good one) , you can see many documents related to the ch*rch's harassment
of individuals. If you have the stomach to look at it and then you can
still support the ch*rch without reservation, you are deluded.

The people who post to a.r.s are a loose collectivity, not a hierarchical
organization like the Co$. Probably the only thing many of them have in
common is that they have written checks for Dennis Erlich's defense fund.
They judge the church by its public actions. To date, a.r.s. has'not
hired investigators to harass ch*rch members, slapped lawsuits on the
ch*rch, or cancelled messages by church members. Don't you wish the Co$
could say that about their activities towards a.r.s. posters?

"The end justifies the means," indeed. Get real.
